DESCRIPTION: French, Waterfall Automaton, C.1840, with a small and well made silk-thread susp, bell strike movement. The twisty glass tube simulates water pouring from the lion's mouth. The automaton is a separate movement in the base of the clock, wound from the rear.
CONDITION: the glass tube has been removed for shipment and will need re-installing. Bronze finish on the case and gilt highlights are all fine. Ht 15"
